Charity Water

Mark’s Barrel Company is a little recycling, reconditioning company in Utah. We clean, leak test, and re-certify containers (barrels, drums, and intermediate bulk containers) for reuse. About a month ago we came across Charity Water and we were blown away. And we decided to do something.

In addition to our reconditioning business, we sell products for Emergency Preparedness. Food Storage, Water Storage, and other products designed to help families prepare for difficult situations. Every penny of profit we generate from sales of these items will be donated to Charity: Water. Every penny.

In the United States a family of four consumes an average nearly 400 gallons of water per day while nearly one sixth of the world’s population (1 billion) is without clean drinking water. To those who have much, much is expected.

The MyCharityWater page is an opportunity for you to get involved in assisting MBC in providing clean drinking water to people in need. Most can not imagine hauling 40-50 pounds of water on your back up to 20 miles one way. We can’t imagine not having clean water and suffering from preventable diseases, or diarrhea, parasites or leeches. Remarkably, 80% of all diseases in the world are caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. A month ago I did not know that. Today I do and I want to do something about it.

How can you help provide clean water for those in need: 1) 100% of every donation you give to Charity: Water go directly to the water projects.Give a little ($20 can give one person clean drinking water for 20 years!) or a lot, but give as even a small donation can make a difference. 2) Buy your Emergency Preparedness products from MBC and we will give for you. In short, you give just by buying something you are already going to purchase. 3) Start your own website on Charity Water and enroll your friends, family, co-workers, etc. 4) Donate a birthday, buy a card, just donate.

Best of all, you can track their progress! You can see where the money is being spent. Watch the well being drilled, built, and opened!

So thank you for your generosity and embracing our campaign. TOGETHER we can accomplish so much more than we could ever dream. Lets get this done.

Thanks for stopping by and for listening. Call MBC at 801.282.4050 should you have any questions about the above and we will be happy to answer them.
